UX/UI design for improved user experience.
Challenge
At my internship at KAN, I was tasked with creating an improved user experience for Eon's electricity contract signing process. The current process for signing electricity contracts on the client’s website was confusing and overwhelming for users, with an overabundance of information that could easily distract from the main task. My challenge was to improve the user experience by creating a more streamlined, intuitive, and user-friendly design. I decided to simplify the journey and remove unnecessary distractions, while still ensuring users were able to make informed decisions.
Goal
My goal was to design a concept that provided users with a clear and simplified path to signing an electricity contract. This included creating two separate user flows: one that allowed users to independently select their electricity contract based on prior questions and one that provided a tailored recommendation through additional questions. By directing users to a static landing page without superfluous information, I aimed to improve usability and guide them efficiently through the process.
Process
Result
The result was a cleaner, more focused user experience that reduced confusion and distraction. Users were guided through a logical sequence of questions and steps, making it easier for them to select or receive recommendations for the most appropriate electricity contract. This dual flow system enhanced customer satisfaction by offering flexibility in how users navigated the decision-making process, leading to a more efficient and user-friendly contract-signing experience.
